two faces of spring

pring is in the air, but like so many things, it's a mixed blessing.  The snow has been gradually melting for days, and my little squirrel friend managed to find acorns!  Good thing we didn't collect them all for our glitter project last year.  All winter long he's ignored the dried apricots I carefully laid out on the deck railing.  Teddy and Leo eventually discovered and devoured them.  I had no idea squirrels were picky eaters.

Not so lucky was this guy who followed the shifting sun right into Grant's office window.
