Turkeys in the mist
They're back! Saw a huge parade of turkeys out front this morning. The group seems to have gotten bigger over the winter--- they looked fat and healthy. We're enveloped in mist today as the early sun hits the marsh soaked by yesterday's rain.
By the time I got outside with my camera they were under a group of pine trees. While I was juggling Leo and Teddy's leashes, trying to clean up a overturned trash can, reeling in Teddy when he saw the neighbor's dog, and yanking Leo away from an unidentified chunk of garbage my camera hit the pavement and I realized an amateur nature photographer needs to be unencumbered by the distractions of suburban life.
Hopefully they'll be back again tomorrow.
....just like Nessie!
