Group project update
Cathy sent along this photo of the latest group project that's been hanging out at her house for the past few weeks. It was due today---congratulations Cathy!
What is this project supposed to be? Who knows? Who cares---this project has all the bells and whistles...nice patriotic festooning, a pulley system, and the creative use of the dryer vent hose is a brilliant touch....this project will definitely earn that check mark.

I think that group project is a metaphorical representation of group projects: a multi-colored, multi-medium monolith with no easily discernible purpose. lol. On the other hand, collaborative efforts-- students teaching each other-- certainly produces great results as I see everyday teaching. Maybe it's these physical manifestations that that are the problem with education...
