We decided to spare a travel weary Molly another 2 bus rides and drive her back to school. We came armed with our vacuum and lots of freshly washed clothes in hopes of sprucing up the broom closet that she and her roommate call home, in preparation for the last leg of their freshman year. After I worked on the narrow strip of carpet the girls disappeared under the beds with the hose...there was an ungodly racket as the vacuum sucked up all manner of unidentified crud. We threw open the window, and filled a garbage bag with unmatched socks, defunct pens, forgotten granola bars, items of unwashed clothing permanently crushed into an unrecognizable state, and various papers, wrappings, and broken bits. In their defense, the room does not even have the floor space for a waste basket. We're crossing our fingers and toes for good luck in the upcoming housing lottery for next fall!

Sunday was a wonderfully balmy day and we walked around campus remembering how the second half of spring term is always the most exhilarating part of the college year. We played with the incredibly well trained college president's dog, who just sits on the lawn and watches the world go by.

This time Molly was able to give us an informative tour and it's clear that she's feeling very at home on campus.
This morning from our third floor room at the Williams Inn we looked out on slushy rain, but I guess that's the way it's going to go for a while. We said goodbye from Tunnel City and realized it'll be a few short weeks before freshman year is over.
Good luck in the housing lottery! It was lovely to see you Molly!
