Country roads

Gone for a few days visiting my Dad in the North Carolina mountains.  The leaves are just starting to turn...

But the local zinnias are providing some great color while the leaves take their time.

Be back later this week!

  10. Ah, your leaves get that incredibly vibrant red that's so rarely seen here, I love autumn in New England.

  11. Oh those are beautiful. I think they are Dahlias. Dahlias and Zinnias both make me very happy. Not very fallesque here. No leaves left to change ater Irene!

  12. Nantucket Daffodil---oops, you're right, I realized it right after I signed off. Dahlia's are amazing flowers, so varied. They were all over the town, and all their gorgeous colors actually kind of clashed with the turning leaves!
