I get this urge every fall. It's funny because I don't wear perfume. I buy unscented deodorant, and I swerve out of the way when I see the fragrance spritzing ladies coming at me in department stores. But for some reason, at this time of year, I get a craving for woodsy scents. Scents with names like Alaskan Lodge, Alpine Thicket, and Forest Floor. Just for fun I've compiled a list of delicious woodsy candles. I have the first one sitting behind me as I work at my computer. I reach for it every once in a while for a little aromatherapy.

Sue,
ReplyDeleteI love all of these and for some reason scented candles usually gross me out, but not in the fall...I love the woodsy smells, even the pumpkin spice ones...if they are of the really special variety that is....not just any candle. My daughter and I actually cross over when we walk by a Bath and Body Works store...too much. Your collection today looks like all the best ones out there. I've come to expect that from you!

Love the Deserving Thyme soy candles. I have one that smells of citrus that I could burn all day long!
ReplyDeleteI love, love having earthy scented candles burning in the fall/winter months.
ReplyDeleteYou've got me thinking... what would it take to get a job coming up with fragrance names?? Imagine that existence - totally ridiculous and yet totally stimulating. :)
I had to laugh about the perfume lady ... I avoid them if I have to walk out of my way! I hate being subjected to someone who had an accident with the perfume bottle. But I do LOVE a scented candle in the house. Woodsy smells are so comforting. Good one!
ReplyDeleteLove Candles I have on in almost every room of my house. Have you ever tried Capri Blue's Volcano or Aloha Orchid. Both at Anthropologie. Also following you now.

All of these candles have such beautiful boxes! I am the same...I take out my scented candles in fall...but steer clear of perfumes and other "faux" scents. I was chuckling recently because we ran out of those lighter thingys. We haven't seen matches around our house in a long time so my candle is in the kitchen unlit!
