| I found this lovely Russian egg inside a 49 cent thrift store vase, and the nest by the side of the road. |
We're going to stop in Williamstown MA to see our youngest daughter on the way out of New England, and then down to see our oldest in DC. From there we'll head west. I'm posting our route on google maps, below, because I was hoping that some of you who live along the route, or who have visited there yourselves, could steer us to some fun places to stay, or eat. If I did it right you should be able to enlarge and manipulate the map. We're going to try to make the best of a stressful situation and have a little fun along the way---leave me a comment if you have any suggestions!

In the meantime between packing and organizing our move I'll be using up food and posting a few recipes. I'll post a bit from the road, and hopefully we'll find a place in Los Angeles quickly and I'll continue the blog from a new kitchen. I could wax poetic about leaving this amazing place, but I will have plenty of time to do that...

Wow! I seem to recall you posting not long ago about a nostalgic trip to LA, so hopefully this is a good thing. I love LA and think it is a wonderful place to live...can't beat the weather, that's for sure!

ReplyDeletePraying for as peaceful a transition as is possible. I was giddy for a moment, thinking that you might be stopping through MY area to visit local family! No such luck though. I bet my odds are higher for meeting you now though.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about your travels...such a long way. We've thought about making that trip, but it's just so long. Not sure what part of Denver you'll be in, but the Washington Park area is beautiful. Not far from Downtown. The Brown Palace is one historic hotel I would recommend, but it has been a long time since I stayed there. Oh and for breakfast or lunch check out Vert Kitchen.
